Special Olympics 50th Anniversary Celebration Unified Sports Challenge

As part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Special Olympics the Unified Sports Challenge provides an opportunity for Special Olympics partners and supporters to experience first-hand competing in Unified Sport with skilled Special Olympic athletes. Produced by the Special Olympics 50th Anniversary Committee Member, Chicago Sport and Social Club, Partner employees and supporters will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience to play on Soldier Field and be a part of the Inclusion Revolution. All participants will enjoy the thrill of playing their sport in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Special Olympics during the Global Day of inclusion on July 21, 2018.

Date: July 21

Location: Soldier Field - Chicago, IL

Times - 2:00-6:00pm

Teams include 6 Special Olympics athletes and 4 Unified Partner athletes and 1 coach

Sports and Formats of Play:

Soccer players will play 5 vs. 5 with 3 Special Olympics athletes and 2 Unified Partner athletes for 30 minutes Teams will consist of 10 players total with 6 Special Olympics athletes and 4 Unified Partner athletes per team.

Flag Football will play 5 vs. 5 with 3 Special Olympics athletes and 2 Unified Partner athletes for 30 minutes. Teams will consist of 10 players total with 6 Special Olympics athletes and 4 Unified Partner athletes per team.
