As part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Special Olympics the Unified Sports Challenge provides an opportunity for Special Olympics athletes and Unified Partner athletes to play Soccer and Flag Football together on Soldier Field. All participants will enjoy the thrill of playing their sport in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Special Olympics during the Global Day of inclusion on July 21, 2018.

Soccer players will play 5 vs. 5 with 3 Special Olympics athletes and 2 Unified Partner athletes for 30 minutes Teams will consist of 10 players total (6 Special Olympics athletes and 4 Unified Partner athletes plus 1 coach).

All players will be placed on a team and will play for 30 minutes on Soldier Field. Teams are allowed to wear their own team shirts but will be required to wear Unified Sports Challenge pennies over their shirts. Pennies provided by Special Olympics and handed out immediately before play begins.
